About Me

Hello! I'm a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia. After graduation, I dove into the field and found my passion working with adults. Later, I trained in EMDR and can't get enough of it—always learning more.

In my therapeutic approach, building a strong connection with you is my initial focus. I believe in the importance of balance in various aspects of life, such as relationships, health, work, and hobbies. However, life's challenges, stemming from experiences, relationships, and emotions, can sometimes disrupt this balance. Together, we will take a holistic view of your life—identifying what's working well and addressing areas where you may need support to regain equilibrium. By honoring your past experiences, needs, and self, we can work towards healing and growth.

I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are open to exploring themselves, their relationships, and their environment to effect desired changes. My expertise includes EMDR, and I'm passionate about its capacity to heal trauma and reshape negative core beliefs. Additionally, I often incorporate other modalities like DBT, IFS, and mindfulness. You may also notice me using a bit of humor—sometimes life gets tough, and a little laughter can make a big difference.

My practice is open-minded and non-judgmental, welcoming those who identify with diverse sexualities, including those in open relationships and practicing non-monogamy. I believe in fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment that respects and validates the unique experiences of each client.

Outside of the therapy room, I spend my free time relaxing at home with my spouse and our sweet pup, Lucy. I enjoy puzzling, traveling, and playing board/card games with family and friends. A few years ago, I turned into a plant person, and now I've got a bunch of green buddies. My office? It's basically a second home for my growing plant crew.

Being a therapist has given my life profound purpose, and I would be honored to work with you. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out via email to schedule a consultation call!
